Breaking in the "new" engine
25 October 2013 | Singapore
We are still in Singapore and finalising our engine etc. ready for our Langkawi/Phuket departure soon. Once the engine et. al. was all knitted back together, we had to put 50 hours on her before the mechanics re-visited and changed and tested fluids. So we motored up and down Singapore's east coast for about 10 days, 5 hours a day, sometimes with pals for some different conversation, but usually just ourselves. A bit boring, but we've ticked that box and are now back in cruise preparation mode, heading up to Langkawi and Phuket son.
Singapore is one of the world's busiest ports, hundreds of daily ship exchanges, moving and at anchor. For our daily "drives" we cross the Keppel Fairway, the biggest container shipping lane in the world, and motor past the many condominiums on the east coast, two of which we used to live in!
Here's the pic....
