Happy Solstice 2009!
These continue to be interesting times we're living in. And though we are both currently working far fewer hours than we'd like to be, at the same time we are very thankful to still have jobs since we know so many who do not. We hope that you are doing well, and like everyone we hope that this economy turns itself around soon.
This fall we lost a dear and wonderful family member, Heidi's "other-mother" Sabra Steele. Sabra was a free spirit who cared so much about the earth, and all of us. Being Arne's and Kari's mom, she was part of Heidi's life for over 40 years. She taught us SO many things, including how to ski. Sabra left us way too soon, but her smile and laughter will remain with us always.
SOLSTICE! Like typical Seattleites, we always love Winter Solstice, bringing us longer daylight hours again. After several weeks of below freezing temperatures, we hope the worst of winter is behind us. However we loved the SUN that shone during that cold-snap.
2010 is before us and tonight's horizon was red ("red sky at night, sailor's delight"), the future's so bright...we gotta wear shades.
Happy Holidays...wishing all of you a healthy and prosperous 2010.
