What can we say? It's a boat... there are endless projects... finish one and start 5 more, always something going on.
This time the watermaker that we've had for 5+ years is finally getting installed, with the help of our good friend Roger. We can't thank him enough, he's been so valuable to this whole project.
After 2 days we have finished step-1:
1.) Remove starboard water tank
...make room for watermaker...
...however that's not as easy as it looks. First the liquor locker has to be emptied, then the games locker, and everything ends up on the galley floor surrounded by tools cuz there is no other place to put things... but where did the flipflop come from? No idea...
Still to come Steps 2-6:
2) Install watermaker
3) Cut water tank in half, glass/epoxy end closed
4) Re-install water tank
5) Hook up watermaker and plumbing
6) Cross fingers and hope it all works...
As for the other 4 projects? BFF John is working on our SSB (single sideband radio) and wifi booster antennae. And good friend Mike is helping out with our wiring diagrams and NEMA interfaces, hooking everything up so that all instruments play nicely together. These guys are AWESOME!!
Autopilot is partially installed... still awaiting the canvas guy to fix our Bimini that they messed up last year, so that we can install our solar panels, and then inverter...
Somewhere down the road Jim will help us install the Monitor windvane...
And through it all, Tikka is our constant Technical Advisor,
while Tosh helps taste-tests the crab...
In between we try to find time to sleep, eat, meditate, exercise, crab, sail, and play with our furbie-kids! Whew... BIG HUGE THANKS to all of our peeps who are helping us with physical and moral support to see this phase through fruition. We love you all!
