Sign in front of a boot shop " all a girl needs is good boots and confidence "! Well, Susan and Aria have been on a mission since Nashville to purchase Western boots. As we are splitting up tomorrow, Ambica heading towards Knoxville, and us heading downstream, it was Critical they find the perfect boots today! So Lars and I took them to Pigeon Forge (a town, really) where there was supposed to be amazing boot shops. This town is also the home of the Dolly Parton theme park "Dollywood". After looking at another 1000 pair of boots, they finally found what they were looking for. Whew, now they are happy!
One of my pet peeves at a number of these shops, is that they offer, buy one, get two pair free. Now I was not born yesterday, who needs 3 pairs of Western boots. Of course, because of this the boots start at $350.00 up to $800.00. They will not discount for one pair. Crazy!
We finally found a shop that sold them by the pair, and even offered a discount if you bought with a friend. Good business people!
Tomorrow is fuel, pump out and grocery shopping. It is going to be sad splitting up with Amica, but thats the Looper lifestyle.
