We have been anchored in Honeymoon Bay for 2 weeks. Water Island is just around the corner from Charlotte Amalie however it is nice and quiet here! And there are kids here! There is a nice white sandy beach which is littered with water toys and surfboards for everyone to use, Joes Beach Bar is a small titk hut which serves cold drinks and nibbles, dogs are allowed on the beach and there are two other Border Collies that Daisy plays with, there are kids, it is a very relaxed, comfortable anchorage with live aboards who work in St Thomas and other cruisers who don't work and did I mention, there are kids!! Monday is movie night and Heidi strings up a huge white tarp between the coconut trees and we watch the movie beneath the stars! Heidi serves hot dogs, burgers, cold drinks and popcorn! The motto on the island is- "Where the wierd come to turn pro!" so you can imagine that we have met quite a cast of characters over the past 2 weeks! Daniel and John have made friends with some "land based" kids and have had great fun going to their house to play and explore! The weather is starting to change a bit- that storm system that hit the east coast is heading our way and we are starting to see a swell come into the anchorage which makes for a rolly boat. So we will weigh anchor this afternoon, when the boys get home, and move back into Charlote Amalie Harbour which is proteceted from this NW swell. When the storm passes we will come back!
