We left St Maarten and sailed the 12 miles to
St Barthelemy. We had both fishing poles out but did not get a nibble! Paul doesn't believe we can catch fish! We stopped in the northern part of the island at the beautiful beach of Anse Columbier
which is only acessible by boat. The bay was full of turtles, large and small turtles. There is a nice hiking trail which is dotted with cactus and Spider Lillies, hibiscus and more.

We moved around to Gustavia the next day to be "one of the beautiful people" in St Barts! Gustavia is a charming picturesque port which is dotted with cafes and boutiques and of course, beautiful people! I think St Barts is the only island in the Caribbean where they charge you to drop your anchor! We actually moved Eira into the main port area and picked up a mooring which was having to tie up bow to stern with the mooring balls.
The cost was only 12 euros/3 nights. We were tied up next to a huge mega yacht which had three boats tendered to it! Its smallest dinghy was larger than our dinghy and its largest "dinghy" was bigger than Eira!!

We would get our baguettes fresh in the morning from the Patisserie and found a great beach within walking distance from town-Shell Beach. There was a cement ping-pong table on the beach which the boys had fun playing. Uncle Paul was working hard on that perfect tan! Menno. Paul and
Paul(Dreamweaver) had a boys night out in Gustavia, they did get home after "sailors midnight!"

We all had a great time in St Barts- the Beautiful Island!
