We had a fun day zooming through the Sea of Abaco in the "go-fast" boat. We headed south from Hope Town and stopped at Sandy Cay for some snorkling and beach combing then continued onto Little Harbour. Lunch was at Pete's Pub and we toured Johnsons Art Gallery on the beach. On our way north we spotted some dolphins playing on the sandbar so we quickly put on mask and snorkles and jumped into swim with the dolphins! No hunting and gathering on this trip because we were in park land most of the day.

Guest Blog: Cruising with the Baars as seen through the eyes of Dixie: The Sokolow family, Tracy and Shane descended upon Hope Town for a week of festivities. Here are a few highlights of the week. The Baars crew gave instructions on coconut rum drinks with Daniel wielding the machete. Kathy was kind enough to give demonstrations. Cocktails were served with rum punches every evening- cocktail hour seemed to start quite early in Hope Town. The days were spent beachcombing, sailing and snorkeling. Shane and Tracy proved to be expert conch hunters. Annelise perfected her snorkeling skills and found that piggyback swimming with Shane was the easiest way to snorkel for hours. Daniel has been honing his spear fishing over the past few months and has a blood thirsty look in is eyes when discussing spear fishing. Little Valerie had a run in with a hermit crab and lost a chunk of her finger. However, she was more concerned about the hermit crab's well being than her own. We rented a fast boat to zoom around the cays. The art gallery at Petes Pub, on the beach, in Little Harbour was quite a surprise. Not such a surprise was John's ability to drive the fast boat - watch out Menno, he'll want to drive soon. Valerie was the perfect hostess and you have not lived until you taste her conch cerviche. Ben and Dixie enjoyed relaxing on the porch of the house "Summer Magic" on their first family vacation in 3 years. In short, a great week in the Abacos and we thank the Baars family for all they did.
