Nice to be back home in Vermont with great memories of the crossing and very happy that Ekaterina is parked in Ireland, ready to resume the sail around the great Atlantic circle.

Ekaterina waits on the dock before haulout and her new temporary home in Ireland. Michael is headed back to Vermont, leaving the boat tucked in for winter, here in Crosshaven.

Great side trip with Michael S. to Galway for a couple of days, and then London for a few more. Will keep the boat here for awhile while I head over to France/Belgium and Michael returns to US.

Rolf is on his way to visit
Germany and then will head back home. Meanwhile, Mike and I planning a road trip to the west coast of Ireland and then headed for England and France ( car, train, ferry - no sailboat!). Good times in Ireland. Michael

We arrived at the Royal Cork Yacht Club at 2:00 PM, July 19 to a warm welcome by club members an congratulations by the commadore himself. The last few days at sea were fairly unpleasant with 40+kt. winds (again) and steep seas from decreasing ocean depth. What a beautiful place Ireland is! It's time to have a Guinness or two and savor a world that is suddenly not moving. Best to all from the happy crew of Ekaterina.

Great! Welcome to Europe! Sounds like the ride was rough at times, but the rougher the ride the more enjoyable the arriving. Congratulations to a great crew on an endeavour well planned and completed!
Have a great time in Ireland -and we hope Rolf will stop by before returning to the USA.

yahoo, so glad you are back on land and guinness! remember now that you are on the island you can elaborate all the sea tales with plenty of imagination-in Ireland it is expected. But it sounds as tho that is not necessary....congrats to you all.Enjoy the pub crawl.
