Pacific Puddle Jump - Day 3

Ahoy from the end of the earth - we've now crossed into the "No Sonar Charts" area of our electronic charts and whilst there is some degree of broad information still available, there will be no viewable drill down data until we commence our approach to the Marquesas. Seems we have also headed into an area of very limited satellite coverage as several times now our "Speed over Ground" instrument has gone into alarm due to loss of NMEA fix and has been giving us "fake news". Pretty sure we weren't doing 54 knots at 0335 this morning! There's very little to see now - it's just us and the flying fish.
The wind is now at a steady 10-15 SE however the swell is still with us. As my South African friend Irene (SV Ketoro) says. it's a little boisterous and is looking to stay that way for around another 24 hours or so. There is a 3 1/2 hour time difference between Galapagos and the Marquesas and we have opted to make hourly adjustments each Sunday. It's somewhat surreal to think that although we are tracking closer to home, we are getting further and further away timewise. Over the last 25 hours to 0800, we've clocked up 167 NM for an average of 6.68. A mere 2551 NM to destination!
All well onboard.
