As you can see from the mile marker, we are very close to the end of the ICW. We decided that sitting out this weekend's bad weather was better done here rather than taking a chance on getting a spot in Portsmouth. Tomorrow we'll leave the ICW and anchor somewhere in the Hampton Flats near the mouth of Norfolk Harbor.
It's been nice here at Great Bridge. We've relaxed quite a bit, but we've done more cleaning and we did get our grocery shopping done. This dock is right next to a town park and that has been fun as well. We've seen a local food fair and the kids from two separate high schools have come to the park to take pictures before their Senior Proms. It was so nice to see young people still getting excited about the big school dance. They were all in formal wear most of them with matching colors. Elaine was delighted by all the girl's dresses.
So tomorrow we're off again and with luck we'll be off the Mob Jack Bay on the Esat River by Tuesday.
