The Quiet Life
15 February 2017 | Vero Beach ICW MM 952.0 at Anchor
Lawrence/ 84 degrees/ strong Southwest winds clocking around to the North
Elaine and I don't really do much. We live on a boat, which has it's own peculiar problems ( dealing with an ice box turned into a refrigerator, running a generator, dealing with never ending mold and mildew). Elaine finds all of this very distressing,so having Sharon and Ahti over last night
for drinks and appetizers was a nice lift to our day.
Today the wind has been blowing like stink out of the Southwest, which kicks a light boat like ours all over the place. Still, our anchor held, and we were able to get across the ICW so Elaine could get her hair cut. A haircut really picks my lady's spirits way up. We had a wonderful dinner tonight and the wind has backed off somewhat this evening. It has been warm which is always a plus. It's a quiet life.
Fair winds & Smooth sailing,
Elaine & Lawrence S/V Elle & I
