What a difference a day makes! Today's 49.1 nm was so nice. WNW winds at 8 to 10 knots pushed us down to Portsmouth. As we headed for the anchorage, this beauty sailed by! The S/V American Rover is a tour boat these days, but their were at least a dozen other schooners in Portsmouth for the big race. Since our favorite spot was being used by all the tall ships, we ended up here at Hospital Point. Kay and TJ on S/V Shearwater called us tonight. They are only a day behind us and should catch up with us in Elizabeth City. Tomorrow we're off for our first trip through the Dismal Swamp Canal.
