Dinner with Friends and Mill Creek

We had my favorite kind of trip to the Great Wicomico River- uneventful. You can see how happy our little "dancing flowers" are riding up the river. We tied up to Pat and Bob's dock a little after 14:00. Michelle and Joe on S/V Simple Life were already there and helped tie us off. Hugs all around, of course, and then swapping stories of our Summers. Pat and Bob showed up around 15:00 for more hugs all round and to give us a tour of their beautiful, no really beautiful home! We all got together for happy hour, more stories and then dinner on their screened in porch. It's been over 2 years since last we got together with Pat and Bob and we had the best evening. Friends seeing each other once again is one of the best parts of cruising! The next morning Pat, Bob and I went over their bikes for a little maintenance. Bob's front derailer needs to be replaced due to a defective tensioning spring.
Elaine and I decided we would spend Thursday evening anchored out on Mill Creek, so at 14:30 we said our goodbyes and went back down the river. We had a quiet evening anchored with 5 other sailboats and left for Kinsale, VA this morning at 09:00. Tomorrow is Kinsale Day and we will be spending the day with Judy and Don in their home on the bank of the Yeocomico River. We appear to be on the verge of completing another of my favorite trips- uneventful!!
Fair winds & Smooth sailing,
