Yesterday we prepared to depart this a.m. and head towards Miami. Provisioning was complete, gas and diesel full and holding tank pumped out. We were even able to have Scrubbing Bubbles do a last clean of the boat's bottom, which I might add, was in great shape. Late in the afternoon Lawrence checked wind and waves again and much to our dismay, oops, departing would have to be postponed. How long? Good question as we had no idea. After a bit of "TV" went to bed. I awoke at 3:00 a.m. - Lawrence was awake as well. He announced, "Well, I've changed my mind!" "We are leaving tomorrow, alarm is set for 7:00 a.m." First, I was growing accustomed to being in Vero and had resigned myself that we might spend the winter there but then we saw a chance to depart and head to the Gulf side and Fort Meyers Beach which we both really love. So now I was excited at the prospect of actually getting there again this year. Within hours I was disappointed and back to facing the reality of perhaps spending the winter in Vero. Okay. Enough! And then at 3:00 a.m. We were back on the track of heading south for Miami. Now, I can bend, but I think this is the last bend I have left in me!!! In any case, we departed in very brisk temps this a.m. at 7:30 a.m. and we are now cozy, at anchor in Hobe Sound with warmer temps! Tomorrow we plan to depart at 7:00 a.m. and hopefully make it to Boca Raton, assuming we make the 18 opening bridges in a timely fashion. Ultimately we hope to be in Lake Sylvia on Friday mid-day before the weather and winds turn ugly! Only tomorrow will tell - one day at a time!!!!

P.S. As you can tell, I did not write this post! I'm still not sure I made the right call. We won't know for sure until Sunday or possibly Monday.
