One Last Stop ! Go NAVY!!

25 May 2016 | Put In Creek off Mobjack Bay
Lawrence/ 88 degrees/ Sunny/ Winds Southeast
We are anchored on Put In Creek. Put In is our last stop before we move up to Deltaville to put Elle & I on the hard for the Summer. We moved from Old Point Comfort on Tuesday. It was an excellent day to be out on the Chesapeake particularly after the awful weather on Monday. Now we'll stay in the protection of this lovely creek until we move on. We'll be working on projects while here so we won't have as much to do in the boat yard. It is much cooler working on the water. Today we got both sails off and packed in their sail bags. Elaine began working on the teak hand rails on deck and we transferred fuel from jerry cans to our main fuel tank.
Oh! Go, Navy? On our way up here on Tuesday we had a chance to watch a Navy helicopter practice rescue maneuvers. It is extraordinary how precise these Navy personnel are at holding themselves in one position while getting people safely out of the water. You could see the spray from the blades lifting off the water like fog. Amazing!
Fair winds & Smooth sailing,
Elaine & Lawrence S/V Elle & I
