New sails

29 March 2013 | Mar Menor
Shane / very windy
Last week when out sailing around the Mar Menor we were concentrating on some of the more specific skills in the RYA syllabus such as picking up mooring buoys under sail, sail trim and M.O.B drills. Gusty to say the least it was a great test for our new sails from Jeckells the sailmakers. With a fresh breeze, correctly trimmed sails, recent lift out and new sails El Rubicon was hitting speeds of 8 knots without any real effort - it has never been so easy to sail fast.

Having been teaching Yachtmaster theory this week it will be back out on the water from Sunday with a quick blast up the Coast and across to Ibiza planned weather permitting of course with the students taking full responsibility for planning the trip.

Anyone interested in learning to sail or improve existing skills should contact us with their requirements, we offer bespoke courses with low numbers allowing us to concentrate and develop a valuable skill-set that will serve you well for years to come.
