Another B/O - G/O situation for the locals. September is the slowest time of the year. Meaning business is really SLOW>>>SLOW>>>>SLOW. To keep the money flowing in the community the attractions and restaurants offer deals for the locals... after all we are the only ones left.
Ed and I have never bothered with some of the museums because they did not seem interesting. But at one half off it was worth checking out. When our guests from the frozen north come for a visit, we can say we say we saw it and give an informed recommendation.

The best part of the Shipwreck museum was the three story tower climb that put you above most of the town. It would be a great place to take wide eyed kids who were afraid of pirates and still believed in finding fighting off the bad guys.
