Please forgive us for being confusing. We are putting up short entries and photos from two months ago. At the moment we are actually on a five day passage from Maupiti, Society Islands to Suvarov, in the Northern Cook Islands. Once we arrived in the Society Islands in mid-June, we stopped making long passages (where we seem to do our late night blog musings) and became busy to the point where we got very behind on our blog.
So the Tahiti-Moorea Rally was almost two months ago to the day. As part of the rally, the Tahiti Tourism board provided traditional food and entertainment. Steve entered the men's Banana Race. Here he is, the very picture of determination. Even after a spectacular fall in the slippery mud- bananas everywhere as he took out the guy behind him too- Steve still managed to come in first place.
