Over the last three years we have sailed nearly 17,000 miles. We departed from San Francisco, California, and have cruised in Mexico, across the Pacific Ocean through Polynesia, Melanesia, Australia, and Micronesia. [...]This year, (2011) our journey saw us visiting over 25 islands in Papua New Guinea, two of which had never before been visited by a private yacht. Heading into our 4th year, Endless Summer is currently parked in Palau. In 2012 we plan to cruise 2000 miles to Bali visiting many out of the way places in Indonesia on the way.

I have always had a deep love for the sea and the creatures that live in and around it. dramatically deepened my love of these wild land and sea creatures, while at the same time made me keenly aware of the effects of climate change, pollution, and over-fishing on these ecosystems. I have seen first hand the garbage floating in the middle of the deepest ocean, and washed up on every beach of every island and coral atoll we visited. I have seen with my own eyes the dead and dying coral reefs and the absence of large fish and sharks in areas that were historically thriving habitats. Hearing about climate change, pollution, and over-fishing was one thing, but seeing the effects of these things in person has alarmed me. I have come back from my journey determined to get the word out that we must make some basic changes in the way that we live, or face dangerous consequences for humanity.
