A quiet and restful Easter
The weather has gone through and we are back to stable and beautiful conditions. Yesterday we walked to New Plymouth and visited the museum, cemetery, and sculpture garden. It's fun to get a feel for how these people came to be here and how far back their traditions go.
In New Plymouth we stopped for a "Goomba Smash" at Miss Emily's place, a longstanding tradition. Today we watched the Masters while sitting in the Green Turtle Club bar and enjoying a Kalik (traditional Bahamian beer).
The boat is washed clean after the rains of 2 days ago, and today I scubbed the last of the New River scum from the waterline. Tomorrow morning we will venture out into the open Atlantic as we navigate the Whale Cay passage in order to continue down the Sea of Abaco.
