Chestertown and back to Bodkin

From Cambridge we came up the bay to the Chester River, then up river to Lankford Creek. Off the creek we found Lovely Cove, which truly lived up to its name. In fact, it was so isolated and lovely, that we stayed 2 nights before going on up river to Chestertown.
Chestertown is now one of our favorite small towns on the eastern shore. We took the town walking tour which explained much of the history behind many of the historic homes, some nearly 250 years old. The town square was quaint, and the shops along High Street were fun to visit. We had an excellent lunch at the Lemon Leaf Cafe.
This morning we left Chestertown for a quiet run down river and across the bay to Bodkin Creek, where it felt very familiar to return to Pleasure Cove Marina. In 2 weeks we will return to Santa Barbara, leaving Eos in the water for the summer.
So far, even after dropping the asking price by $24,000, we have not found a buyer. If nothing happens by the end of the summer, we are seriously considering re-locating the boat to the Pacific Northwest...we are truly done with the Chesapeake Bay.
Meanwhile, we are very much looking forward to seeing Tyler and Juliette in a few weeks.
