At last all the preparatory work has been completed and Eschaton spent the Bank Holiday weekend in the slings - poised at the top of the slipway. The final touch - apart from filling the water tank was the replacement of the stainless steel runners with Dynema which should reduce the chafe on the main whilst running downwind and the jackstays for the new Stackpack from SKB Sails. Thence down-river to take up a mooring off Falmouth whilst the depression moves on and hopefully leaves a much more favourable NW breeze to take us down towards Oporto to join the OCC Rally forming up there.
