It’s been foggy since Wednesday and the wind has been right on the bow so we haven’t made much progress in the last 24 hours or so. The fog is just clearing a bit now though. We’re in Admunsen Gulf approximately 20 nm north of Cape Parry and haven’t seen much at all except the sea and occasional ray of sunshine. So far this stretch of the passage has not been nearly as interesting as the trip from Greenland to Cambridge Bay. Jeffrey cooked a vegetable stew for dinner which was great..we ate it all so it must have been good! Feel like baking more carrot cake muffins but we are trying to conserve the egg supply. Not much else to report at the moment except that I can’t believe it’s almost September..where has the time gone! One definitely loses track of time and days on the boat, the routine becomes watch, sleep, eat, watch, sleep, eat and so on. Missing family and friends so sending best wishes and hugs to you all. Hoping the fog clears for a few days and we’ll have more to write about on the next blog!
