Sorry it has been so long since an update. We keep busy doing stuff here at Gram's house, and some work on the boat (but not enough). If all goes well and on schedule the new electrical system will be completed on the boat THIS WEEK. So we may get out of the slip before long.
We have figured out that the neighborhood is almost like being in Mexico! Same foods, same almost everything (the prices are a bit more, but not like the rest of SF) and we are still about the only ones around speaking English. Oh Yeah, Mexico is about 30 degrees warmer too.
This is a shot of us shopping in Mexico, just a half block from Gram's house! We spent last weekend back in Sacto with friends, and had Friday morning coffee with the Gym Rats. This week end we did the Chinese New Year parade downtown, and I'll (Pat) be doing the new YACHR FEST boat show in a couple weeks over in Alameda. NO, I WON'T LET CAROLE BUY ANOTHER BOAT YET. She did get her photo and a short blurb in Lectronic Latitude this last week, I think it's the same one I posted here. We have heard from some of the other cruisers you have heard us talk about over the last couple years: Doug & Marcy on Charm is down in PV and they are spending lots of time doing land trips and chasing butterflies in the mountains; Ann & Barry on Cat's Paw IV are down under and having a ball, but expect to be back in the 'frozen north' by late spring for a bit; Sun Baby (our cruise-ship for this years Ha Ha) had a letter in Lat38 this month and are in Bara now. Of course there is the bunch from Fleet 4, and all of us are back in California right now.
We'll keep in touch more often, smooth sailing to everybody. Pat & Carole, on the hard in SF

A Merry and Blessed Christmas to all! Last night Carole and I were remembering Christmas two years ago. This photo is from when we were anchored in Barra De Navidad, in the lagoon, with several old friends and many new friends. It was the first time we had attended a "Posada", and we really enjoyed the Christmas plays the neighborhoods put on; especially the guys who played the devils. This year we are counting SO many blessings in our lives: the twins, Pat & Toby expecting in the Spring, all of our kids healthy and happy, our health very good, the culmination of two years of cruising in Mexico, and Grandma Rose's great life and all she has passed on to her large family. AND so many great friends who are spread out from home to the South Pacific. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to everybody, we are free of the snow drifts, but only driving at 15 - 20 with lots of deep drifts just waiting! It is beautiful and we are having fun, but it sure ain't MEXICO. Very nice Christmas 'pageant' at Mass this evening & Isaac and Leah helped bring up the statues for the crib. We are having a small get together because we all want to stay close to home so we don't have to drive after it freezes later. It ain't like Mexico.
