SevuSevu
23 July 2016
Went out to Beqa for a few days as we have to wait in Suva area until Chris's dental appointment on Wednesday. Very blowy in anchorage, swirling around a lot but seem to have anchor well dug in. Chris a little worried that we were wrapped around a bommie. The village had some quite nice houses and a few tin sheds but everyone was very friendly and we presented the yac to the chief. Although we did not get a SevuSevu ceremony we had an audience with the chief and were granted 'freedom' of the village with permission to anchor, fish and walk around the area. In practice it is not quite 'freedom' as someone always appears to accompany you. We left earlier than intended as the generator packed up so needed to get back to find someone to repair it.
