Today we woke to clear blue skies and decided on a trip to the Hundertwasser Toilets. It was a 180 mile round trip. The toilets were interesting but I am not sure they merited the trip unless you were a devotee of Hundertwasser. The town would have been a bit 'wild west' had it not benefitted from the tourist boom over the toilets, everywhere had brightly coloured mosaics, columns or wall paintings. The steam railway run by enthusiasts was very interesting, it has plans to extend its route as far as Opua we will hopefully do a trip one weekhend as although it runs all week it only uses steam at weekends.
