5th visit to the yard

Jules
I haven't seen the boat in a month, and it was great to hear the grinders and see those pretty blue sparks fly. They've laid the deck out, so its the first we really see of her real size. She sure lets her presence felt. I mean she's big. A theoretical 55 ft is a wee smaller than a real 55 footer!
It's funny, I vacillate between being overjoyed or being overwhelmed. There are so many little details that go into building a boat from scratch... Have we thought of everything? Do we know exactly what we want for every facet of the boat? NO!
Today we were discussing thru-hulls: Do we want flanged? threaded? female or male????
We'll let you know once we're done being overwhelmed...
