Greener Than Green
17 June 2015
We thought Savusavu was lush. It seemed almost impossible for Qamea to have even more dense, green, tropical vegetation, but it does. And here in Naivivi Bay we are surrounded by it. And the seas are flat. And the breeze is light. And it is perfectly quiet. And I am happy. But before we settle into some serious R&R, do a bit of exploring, meander along the beach, and scope out the nearby resorts we have some business to attend to. We have to ensure that we are formally welcomed into the bay by the village chief. We're still feeling like neophytes on the proper sevusevu protocol, and as luck would have it, our friends on Ithaka have offered to lead the way to the closest village and facilitate introductions (having completed the sevusevu process themselves a couple of days ago). Lucky us!
