Blue Hole

We (Tom) got up with full intentions of spending an afternoon snorkeling at Million Dollar Point. Million Dollar Point was made famous by the unfortunate historical event at the end of WW11 in which the American military drove all of their un-needed equipment into the bay, after being unable to come to a fair price agreement with the local government. Tom had just enjoyed a spectacular day of diving the President Coolidge Wreck, and while I can appreciate the historical interest of Million Dollar Point, snorkeling among sunken tanks, jeeps and guns wasn't particularly appealing to me. I'll take snorkeling off coral reefs over rusty military equipment any day!
So two hours before our tour, I made an executive decision. We cancelled our snorkeling plans, and booked a scenic trip to the Riri River Blue Hole. The resort staff didn't even blink an eye at such spontaneity (and Tom bounced back from his disappointment magnanimously).
