After Lavrion, onto Poros
14 August 2013 | Hinitsa Bay
George. Sunny. Breezy.
After a wonderful two weeks back in the UK by myself, I returned to Fandancer, still moored in Lavrion. Tim had stayed behind on the boat with the intention of completing some boat related jobs. While I was away, the Meltemi blew with a vengeance, force 7-8 with gusts of 9 almost every day for two weeks, making it a bit uncomfortable, despite being safely moored.
On Friday 9 Aug we scrubbed up the boat, cleaned all the guard rails, washed the decks etc, we also went shopping to replenish the fridge. In the evening we went to the open air cinema in Lavrion - the film showing was The Iceman, a recent US release with some good reviews, but I probably wouldn't recommend it. It was quite fun at the cinema sitting on garden chairs, surrounded by trees, listening to the cicadas chirruping and watching the stars overhead.
The next morning we left for the 35nm trip SE to Poros.
