Fish and Chips

25 October 2014 | Caleta San Juanico
Caleta San Juanico is the kind of place totally suited to relaxing. What a truly blissful day we spent there exploring, snorkelling, swimming and just lying in the hammock! Caleta San Juanico is one of our favourite bays, broad and blue edges with white sandy beaches but it is unusual for us to be able to spend whole day here just enjoying it. Too often we have been on a schedule to sail south and only spared a few hours for exploring. On one occasion we were storm bound here for several days during a norther, I remember long hours at the dining room table sewing canvas covers in readiness for laying up for the summer. But today we made a holiday of it, dipping in and out of our own infinity pool at the bottom of the boarding ladder - at a delicious 33.5 degrees it was hard to resist! In true holiday style we finished our day at the seaside with good old fish and chips, although not the kind out eaten out of newspaper but the Mexican mahi mahi we caught yesterday as we crossed from Guaymas!
