OH Boy!

The USCG finally faxed a copy of the document, the weather window is only 18 hours away and the Spanish Cay is open and waiting with our selection of dock. (They tell me that there are no other cruisers about).

We will be 3 days downwind in 10-15knot winds on the tail, what more can we ask for. When we hit the steam the water temp shoulld be 70F. Ah! I can almost smell the Chnch Fritters frying!

We plan a departure on the slack tide, then following the Rum line from the sea bouy to Spanish Cay direct. Our hope is that the waves action won't be too bad with moderate winds crossing the steam.

This will be one of Fei Tzu's longest sails for many years. Sailing was certainly easier 30 years ago, but you never know if you don't try, so this is the big retirement adventure Maryland to Baja California via the Canal.

Waiting for Paperwork

We are currently waiting for our document renewal to arrive so we can depart the marina for the Bahamas.

Leaving Kent Island we have followed the ICW to this point gaining a new engine and shaft and prop in the interm.
