We had a nice anchorage just off Prickly pear island, we decided to stay here for a few days as there was a north swell forecast and some stronger winds. From here it was an easy dinghy ride over to the Bitter end yacht club where they have a small grocery store and pub for the public to use. The Bitter end yacht club is a fancy resort which includes water sports, we took the trail that is laid out don to Biras creek where there is another resort. The water in the creek was very calm and a small marina for the resort, along the paths we saw some large iguanas sunning themselves then a couple of female holiday makers came by and screamed which frightened them away. Back at the pub we enjoyed a banana smoothie whilst catching up with our emails.
Andy had been busy with his head in the engine bay for the past two days trying to work out why the engine had dumped all the coolant along with lots of salt water in the bilge. The heat ex-changer seemed OK, the exhaust elbow was clear so he put it all back together and still the water ran out. Next he changed the rubber cap on the heat ex-changer and put on a new jubilee clip and this seems to have solved the problem now we need to get a resupply of coolant. So off back down to St Thomas bay and a visit to the chandlery.
