Green Cay
01 April 2014 | Little Jost Van Dyke
We sailed along the north coast of Tortola with the wind behind us and the sun shining our destination was Jost Van Dyke but the anchorage at Green Cay looked so nice we decided to stay there overnight. Green Cay is a small sandy island just off little jost van dyke, it has one palm tree and is surrounded by reef's and rolling surf, it made a lovely overnight stop we wandered across to the island once all the charter boats had departed and had the beach to ourselves. Next morning we took the dinghy across to Jost Van Dyke to walk out to the bubbling pool. This is a pool of water where the surf surges in between the rocks to make the water bubble, the swell was very small on our visit so not too much bubbling was happening in the pool but nice enough for a quick dip. Once back on board we decided o head round to the main anchorage on Jost Van Dyke called great harbour, lots of mooring balls here and the bottom is rocky so it took several attempts to get the anchor to dig in.
