A Dilemma

There are times when it is necessary to make changes in one's life. I was leading a happy life, enjoying work, had lots of good friends and my major recreations were sailing and motorcycling. I had done a whole lot of sailing from puttering around the bay to crossing oceans.
However, in the past ten years or so, my motorbike riding had been confined to recreational commuting. The time to change all that had arrived. So, I sold up! I sold my 53'Adams sloop, flew to South East Asia, bought a new motorbike and have spent the past 10 months adding 20,000 kilometers to the odometer, visiting really interesting places inhabited by equally intereting people.
The time has passed quickly and while I may have temporarily thought my voyaging life was over, I became progressively aware that the gulf between what was, and what is; was growing ever wider. The realisation that the sailor in me was never going away to hide in some tiny compartment of my brain, was gnawing away at my being.
I am a sailor, a mariner, a seaman. I need a new boat.
