Leaving at 2150 hrs. No more reception for a while. Helen

Sorry about the photo, but there is limited reception, limited time to upload and we are now in the Southern hemisphere and relatively upside down.

We arrived in the northern aspect of Waterloo Bay on Saturday to shelter but now have moved to the southern aspect today, 22nd Monday at 2pm, to wait out the weather change. The apparent temperature recorded at Wilson's Prom light house was -5 degrees. Beanies are the usual night attire in addition to our 'movie going' attire worn continuously when awake and in the shelter of the cabin.. Having moved from the FBO, we are now in the FFO. Spray and horizontal rain are features in addition to freezing temperatures (anything is freezing relative to Kevin's Pacific perspective).

Expect to sail home this evening or Tuesday morning ,dependent on next weather report, arriving in Geelong 24 hours later.

Multiple movies, chips and card games prevail to while the time away (no goods, chattles, reputations or yachts lost in card battles). Kevin is trying the sales pitch to encourage us for the next adventure on Hobies across Bass Straight. However, in the same breath he is planning an immediate return to the Pacific to warmer climes......

Contrary to last fishing photo, Kevin and Alan have landed a dozen fish of good size awaiting the frying pan tonight. It is now 4pm, the weather no warmer and the fishies are still in the bucket awaiting gutting for tea at 5pm. Reckon it's a tad too cold. Crew are getting peckish, despite the movie junk food of chips and biscuits.

Expect we'll settle into another movie tonight before setting sail tonight, weather dependent.

Whales again spotted this morning by Alan but sightings are less frequent. Crew cheered Kevin on with much enthusiam, and even more disbelief , as he reeled in what was going to be the triumphant catch of the day ( and week). Alas, pictures say it all ( sorry, will be flipped right way up shortly!)
With the dire prospect of seaweed and rice rolls for lunch, we're heading to Eden for a real meal and should be there by 2pm today (Thursday). A quick reprovision of those very essential supplies and it's off again this evening, heading for the Prom to shelter from forecasted weather change.

A major highlight in Ulladulla was Kevin's first pizza in nearly three months. All agreed they were some of the best pizzas ever had.

Arrived in Ulladulla at 1630hrs, looking forward to the local fare and a bit of re provisioning before departing for Eden tonight.
Whales are continuing their northern trek with spectacular displays of blows and back flips. The weather: beautiful bright sunny warm days, the nights are bringing in fair breezes of long periods of sailing at 6 - 7 knots. Friday looms as a day of change and expect to wait out the blow in Eden for a few days before the final leg through Bass Strait. Look out for more updates as we approach The Heads for our welcome home celebration in Geelong (we want to be greeted by more than the C and I officials on our return (work that one out)) .

After spending the good part of a week in Brisbane with customs and importation green tape we headed off on Friday the 12th of July. Head winds all the way to Coffs Harbour. Best sight ever though with Whales every where youlooked and fantastic displays, some caught on camera. Leaving now heading south in light winds to our favour.
