Tim
I awoke this morning (which was yesterday by the time this is posted) to a pancake breakfast with real Maple Syrup. Yum yum. It is apparently the anniversary of my birth, so I was treated like a king all day long - there's nothing too unusual about that, actually, and the meals were typically delightful - but today, it was all topped off with a peanut butter extravaganza cake (complete with candles), birthday decorations, and lots of fruity-cheap-Mexican-cane-sugar-alcohol-drinks (the ship's grog). So big birthday thanks go out to my crew, Austen and Kristy (and all else who remembered) - And I am thankful of course to my parents, for birthing me in the first place...
In the meantime, we're humpin' along at 6 knots, making good time, with less than 1000 miles to go - in fact, Easter Island is now the closest piece of land... the sun is shining, the wind is blowing, and the ocean has been good to us, thus far...
All is well aboard Candine. :)
