Time to Go!

25 October 2013 | Cape Lookout
Steve
First breakfast...

Thursday October, 24, 2013...leaving Oriental. The boat has so much food that I think we will end up feeding a couple of the islands. We have never been this packed. The water line is up at least two inches...we'll need big winds to move this thing.

It's starting to get cold and the weather window looks good. Sapphire is ready and so are we.

UPDATE:

Cruising down the coast is sort of like an NFL quarterback executing the read option. You need to deal with what you're given. That means that right now, Fine Lion and Sapphire are anchored at Cape Lookout. The winds were too far west to have a good night getting around Cape Fear. Saturday looks better. We plan on leaving early on Saturday and getting into Charleston on Sunday afternoon. The bad news...there is a frost advisory for Saturday morning...damn. That's why we're going south!

Stay tuned...
