Steve
Kim is like a kid in a candy store...by the way, the Miracle Whip is NOT ours.

Remember when you were a kid at Christmas time and there was always a kid in the neighborhood that got a really neat present? And remember that you always went over to his house to play with it? Well, that happened this Christmas. Bill, of Veranda got a new camera that works underwater. Well, he needed a cheap model and that's where I came in. So I can show you some of the pics taken at Raccoon Cay where we went after Christmas to do some hunting.

There's something in there somewhere

Got him!

A mess 'O lobsters

And a nice Hogfish!

We had a big Barracuda that hung out behind our boat looking for handouts. He got plenty as it turns out. We had a "productive" time up there with a half dozen conch, a nice Hogfish, and nine lobsters.

We also scored big time on fresh veggies and stuff. I made a "contact" at the Fresh Market in Nassau. That's right kids, a real Fresh Market...just like in the US of A. Well, three boats got together and I ordered a bunch of fresh veggies and various other items to be put on the mailboat, Capt. C. Mind you, the cost of these items are about 20% than at a US Fresh Market, which is already high, but we're in the Ragged Islands and you can't live on fresh lobster and fish alone...can you?

We had previously made friends with the Captain of the Capt. C, Cephas. He's a fantastic guy. So the store got the food to the boat on 12/27 and we got the order on 12/29. Cephus stopped the boat near us and Bill and I went out in the dinghy to pick up the two boxes, pick up my propane tank, drop off Bill's propane tank, and make a transaction for gasoline on his next run, 1/10/2014. Very easy...too easy...I see fresh veggies and other items in my future. So after the successful delivery and day's hunting, we are now back at Hog Cay for a New Year's Eve party on the beach. We have a big crowd down here now...11 boats. So we'll bring in the New Year at a beach party (no shoes) and maybe a dropping ball, but it will all happen at "Cruiser's Midnight", which is 8:00 PM. Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year and more later...
