Daytona Beach

04 December 2017 | Daytona Beach
Perfect 60s at night 77 during the day with light wind and plenty of FL sunshine.
We arrived back at Daytona Beach on 12/1. We drove our own car down this time to save some $ since we will be driving back in a couple of weeks. The boat was good. Cleaned her up and got settled in . On Saturday we took oil samples and coolant samples from each diesel and sent them off to the lab before testing. I want to make sure there is no oil to coolant leak internal to the starboard deisel. I refilled the engines to replace the oil and cleaned up everything. We went into the town for a special wine tasting event along all the shops and had a great time. In the evening we saw the Daytona Halifax Marine Christmas boat parade. It was very nice and we had a front row seat where are slip was. On Sunday we went to church, then I did some trouble shooting on the dinky outboard. I narrowed it down to a carborator issuebut could go any further. I have a marine mechanic coming over first thing Monday. We met up with Bob Morrisey at R.I.P. Tides and had some raw oysters ( they were not as good as our fresh Rigde Toms Oysters). We had fun then went back to the boat and barbaqued a steak on t he grill and watched Sunday night football the Eagles did not soar during the game. First thing Monday D & J Marine came by and leaned out the carborator. The engine ran fine after that. I need to get a new lock for the outboard and maybe a fuel water separator. Rest of the day we are preparing to depart tomorrow early for the first leg of our trip to Fort Pierce.
