Well here is the score. We pulled the transmission on Monday; it was sent to Ft. Lauderdale for repair.
On Tuesday I had the mechanic look at a leak on the injector pump. It had been leaking for quite awhile, and I couldn't seem to locate/stop it. Well he found the source(s), and now the injector pump is in a shop in Ft. Pierce.
So, while waiting for those two items, I boiled out the heat exchanger with a 15% muratic acid solution, repainted it, and changed the anode. While I was at it (and since I had to remove it to access the injector pump), I decided to paint the exhaust manifold and riser.
After that, the dinghy motor (15hp Yamaha) was feeling lonely, so it decided have a sticky needle valve in the carb float chamber. I'm getting pretty quick at field stripping carbs.
So now we're pretty much in wait mode...good thing we stocked up on wine in Cocoa.
