Settling into the routine

We are settling into life on a long passage. Damien has already finished a book and is into another one. At this rate he will have read everything onboard before we arrive in French Polynesia.
The weather has been light, less than 10 kn on the port beam. The first night offshore we had to motor for about 12 hours after the wind dropped out, but last night as the wind eased off to around 5 knots, we just hung in, sometimes only doing 3 knots. We have a favorable current that is adding over a knot to our boat speed, so our speed over the ground was still acceptable. We made it though the night without motoring, saving our precious fuel for another day.
We are using PredictWind offshore for weather routing and this is indicating better winds to our south so we are heading that way.
Nothing to report on the fishing front despite trying a number of lures. We are fortunately not relying on catching fish, but it would be a welcome addition to our diet.
Cheers Bern and Damien
