Decisions decisions!!

We have been progressively sailing down our SW course. The wind has been remarkably steady in direction and strength (SE 12 - 15 knots). We are sailing at 7-8 knots with the wind on the beam. Now that we are getting our sea legs, the motion seems quite normal. We departed Santo with the plan of sailing 4 days to Chesterfield reef and if conditions were favorable to enter the sheltered reef where we would stay a couple of nights before making the last leg to Bundaberg. However as our speed has been better than anticipated our ETA at Chesterfield reef is after sunset, not a good time to be entering an area where you need good light to avoid underwater coral bommies. So decisions, decisions, Damien and I had to decide whether we would slow down sufficiently to arrive at Chesterfield reef the next day or by pass it and just continue on to Bundeberg. Over a glass of red (tomato juice) we discussed the pro and cons and concluded that we would head directly to Bundeberg. The only catch with this plan is we would like to arrive there before next weekend to avoid a significant overtime charge for Customs and Quarantine. So we are on a mission - NO OVERTIME !!
