From Goreme I took another overnight bus to the seaside city of Antalya on the Mediterranean coast. It was warmer than the Cappadocia area and there were lots of tourists out enjoying the first warm spring weather.

After a night in Antalya I took another bus to my destination Marmaris. I’m awaiting the arrival of the ship carrying First Light III. We always celebrate the end of a long passage or our arrival in a new country with champagne, and bask in the special feeling of achievement you get when sailing under your own steam. I will miss this feeling even though we are here with our boat, we didn’t do it under our own steam, so I guess I’ll have to leave the champagne on ice for another occasion when we deserve it!
