What a great first day

We had an excellent time in the lagoon as the weather cooperated nicely. We went snorkeling as soon as we arrived - just a couple 100 meters away from the boat. It was an excellent spot - a little small, but loaded with all kinds of corals and fish. Lori and Don have been enjoying the snorkeling and Lori is doing really well - kind of continuing on from where she left off the last time she was here.

We were invited over to Better Days for a mexican feast and it was a great party. 2 other couple came over besides us, so it was a full house over there. The meal was delicious and I think we were out until around 11:00 - that's late for a cruiser!

We sailed over to Salardup yesterday morning and enjoyed a lazy day hanging around the boat - the girls did go snorkeling. This is one of our favorite anchorages as it is picture postcard beautiful and our guests are loving it.

Today we are planning pack up a picnic lunch and then go for a walk on some of the islands. After lunch we will go and snorkel and see if we can find some crabs & lobster for dinner. The Kuna's have not come by yet with crab, lobster of fish, but we are hopefull they will show up today. We did get a hunk of fish from one of the boats that had come over to Better Days - we had it for lunch yesterday and it was excellent. He said it was around 20lbs - I think he said it was some kind of snapper. He had to dive down and hide behind a rock and wait for the fish to come to him - this is while he is holding his breath in 20ft of water! The fish was curious as to what was hiding behind the rock and after the sixth dive, it finally came close enough to shoot.
