We're getting a lay of the land so to speak......Pig Roast on Sunday's at Chat & Chill, Dinner and dancing with a band on Thursdays, and general gatherings through out the week, the meat market picks you up and takes you to their store on Tuesdays and Fridays, and there are 2 good grocery stores and a hardware store of sorts......Dolphins swim by the boat daily, Myrtle the Turtle comes by every morning, and Ray's through out the day.......Could be worse.....Weather is in the mid 80's during the day, and 70's at night. Last night we had Jim and Linda from Double Trouble and Don from Panacea over for dinner and drinks....had a good time....they left around midnight.....we went to bed....It's suppose to be stormy the rest of the week, so we'll see how it goes.....If you looking for a place to escape to, common down....we'll be here for a few months.....TTFN

Life is Good!

We're in George Town....We left Blackpoint Thursday after our mini vacation in a motel....it was great having TV and hot showers. Vicki didn't mind not having to cook either....lol We spent Thursday night anchored in Farmers Cay. Did some exploring by dinghy and had a good night. Friday we left early and headed for George Town. We got in around 5PM. We anchored in the harbor for the night. Friday we found the Harbor Master and arranged for a mooring in the Hurricane Hole for the storm season as we plan on spending 3-4 months here. We got a good location across from George Town, right by the most popular cruisers bar in the area. Great protection and we can swim easily to the bar.....Last night there was a pot luck at Hamburger Beach. We met a lot of new people and ran into a lot of people we have met earlier.....more later....TTFN.

We deserved a treet!

We left Staniel Cay and made it to Black Point. It's the 2nd largest settlement in the Exumas. THe wind switched to the west at 20-30 kts, causing the bays and anchorages in the Exumas to be uncomfortable to say the least. We spent one night on the hook and decided we would get a motel room and wait until the wind switched. We're enjoying hot showers any time we feel like it...Lorraine's is a famous local restaurant that caters to cruisers and has great food at a good price ( Vicki really enjoys the fact the she doesn't have to cook )....Across the street is the largest bar-night club in the area and we've had our share of RUM punches and accompanying fun. The wind is suppose to start switching tomorrow, but it will take another day for the seas to lay down, so tomorrow will do laundry and pick up stores and probably get going on Tuesday.....TTFN....
P.S. We left the camera on the boat....so no pictures for now :(

Yesterday we went diving at Thunderball Grotto (Just like James Bond). The numbers and colors of all the fish was incredible!!! Had a great time. Going out to dinner at the Yacht Club tonignt, then plan on heading south to Blavk Point. The wind has dropped way down , so tomorrow the seas should be OK to go.....TTFN

Howdy sailors! Enjoying your blog. At Black Point, Ms. Ida has a wonderful laundry. She even does haircuts! Lorraine's Cafe next door is tasty. Lorraine's Mom, Peerman, make the BEST bread. Smooth sailing. We're in Green Turtle Cay now.
