Very Frustrating Night

Last night the wind was all over the map in both speed and direction. Making it virtually impossible to maintain a decent course. This was reflected in our poor 119 nautical mile run for the previous 24 hours. So, three days out and decreasing runs each day couple with both Pam and I fitting colds has made for very poor moral on Foggy Mountain. Today the wind was predicted to be east at 10 to 15 knots but was more like ESE to SE 5 to 10 knots. These light winds caused us to do a significant amount of motoring to make progress. This afternoon the wind finally came round to the east which has allowed us to set sail again. But how long will it last??? We shall see. At this rate of speed I can't see us getting to FL before a week from tomorrow. Very depressing. Maybe tomorrow things will improve, we can always hope and pray.
