It seems like cruising involves lots of sitting and waiting, but while sitting there is lots to do. Our first day in Chatham Bay we went off with our friends on Stargazer for a snorkel. Not thinking that it would be much it turned out to be a lovely swim. Two eels, one octopus, lots of reef fish, and coral in much better shape than we thought it would be. The weather forecast was for lots of wind tomorrow so we enjoyed our day of calm winds. Sure enough, as predicted, morning brought blustery winds and a good downpour to clean the salt off of Frannie’s decks. We stayed pretty close to the boat all day reading and doing small boat projects. Sandy prepared a beautiful curry dinner to celebrate Ned’s and my anniversary. The homemade naan was the best. Looks like a night of the anchor grinding and gusts from all directions.
