The main thing we wish to accomplish here in Puerto Eden is to find Don Jose to top off our fuel tanks. This fuel will have to last until Puerto Williams. We dinghy in to town and find him pretty quickly at his house. We begin the process of Jerry jugging 200 liters back to FB and then siphoning it into our tanks. Ned takes on the project and Rachel and I, accompanied by a pack of dogs, make our way to the two "supermercados" here. One is closed. At the other we ring the bell and are greeted. Not much stuff but we buy a few carrots, apples, and "mani" (peanuts) to be polite. We also note the stock of vino and order some bread which will be ready tomorrow.

I have heard that "centollas" (Chilean king crab) can be purchased here so I ask Don Jose who might be a vender. He gets on his cell phone and in about two minutes Patricia appears and I make the deal. I thought that I was supposed to wait for her at the school and she thought I would come to her house in an hour. Ooops! Don Jose and his wife Nelda invite us to their home for tea and cake manana.
