The two weeks of skiing flew by. Before We visited old friends in Southern France and spent a whirlwind three days in Paris and before we knew it, our plane was landing back in Martinique. After a day of scurrying around, buying groceries, getting the cranky freezer running, doing laundry, and boatwork we were ready for the Jones' arrival. Colin and Jean arrived with their usual light luggage and moved aboard. We had a great dinner on land and were off to Ste. Anne, about 15 minutes away. Our friends Sandy and Mike had introduced us to a new activity, Geocaching, and we were anxious to try it. Ste. Anne looked like it had a few caches to look for. For those unfamiliar, geocaching is an activity begun in Seattle, whereby people hide small treasures in interesting spots worldwide and then post clues as well as GPS coordinates of their caches. You use your phone or tablet to find these items, then sign a book in each one that you find and log it. Like a modern day treasure hunt. Off we went in search of our first. With a lot of effort and a couple of tries we found two. Celebrated with some great French pastries. Looked like geocaching was easy. Little did we know that our success was probably beginner's luck.
